Javier is a Corporate and Commercial Associate at Simmons & Simmons' Madrid office.
Javier is a transactional lawyer specialising in corporate M&A, corporate governance, and Real Estate. He has experience advising clients on complex commercial transactions, including due diligence processes, as well as drafting and negotiating key agreements such as purchase and sale agreements and shareholders' agreements. In corporate governance, Javier provides daily corporate secretarial support across all levels of organisations. Likewise, in Real Estate, he has worked on transactions involving the acquisition and sale of real estate assets, as well as leasing and development agreements. He has participated in negotiations both nationally and internationally.
He graduated in Criminology and Law from the Universities of the Basque Country and La Rioja (Spain), during which he completed two years of Erasmus scholarships at the University of Leuven (Belgium) and the University of Malta. He also holds a Double Master’s Degree in Business Legal Practice and Access to the Practice in Law from the University of Navarra (Spain). Javier is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
Javier is fluent in Spanish and English, and he joined the firm in 2024.
