Conor Morrissey is an associate in the firm’s banking team, based in our London office. He specialises in corporate lending, leveraged financing, and acquisition financing transactions.
Before joining Simmons & Simmons in 2025, Conor worked at another leading international law firm for nearly two and a half years, advising a broad range of clients, including financial institutions, corporate borrowers, and sponsors on UK and cross-border financings. He has extensive experience in various financings, including corporate lending, acquisition financing, leveraged financing, and real estate financing.
Conor's notable experience includes advising JD Sports on its acquisition of Hibbett, a US-based athletic fashion retailer, which was funded through a $1 billion extension to its existing bank facilities. He also advised HSBC UK Bank on its financing to Cardinal Maritime, a logistics services provider, resulting in the firm becoming the largest employee-owned company of its kind in the world.
