Daniel Nevzat is a supervising associate in the Financial Services Regulation group in London. He advises financial institutions, fund managers and investment advisers on financial services law and regulatory matters.
Daniel advises clients on matters relating to investment funds, ESG and sustainable finance, market abuse, anti-money laundering, remuneration and governance. He has experience of advising on the financial regulatory aspects of fund formation, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and capital markets transactions.
Prior to joining Simmons & Simmons, Daniel was an Associate in the London headquarters of an international law firm. During his time there, he advised a broad range of financial institutions on legal and regulatory matters, and also gained experience of providing strategic counsel on public policy matters and advocacy support. Daniel started his career at a global asset manager where he advised on regulatory policy, engagement and implementation issues.
Daniel has published articles in several academic journals on legal and regulatory topics relating to asset management as well as ESG and sustainable finance.
