Matthew has a broad spectrum of experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters.
On the contentious side, he has substantial experience advising on both the legal and regulatory aspects of Employment Tribunal claims involving unfair dismissal, whistleblowing, sex, disability and race discrimination.
On the advisory side, his experience covers a broad range of day-to-day employment matters. Matthew's advisory work includes advising on knotty TUPE issues and matters arising out of mergers and acquisitions, sensitive grievances and investigations, redundancies and restructurings, HR lifecycle issues, and complex multi-jurisdictional projects. He has particular expertise in settlement agreement negotiations and executive employment contracts.
During his time in the Employment group, Matthew has undertaken two secondments at large international banks, gaining an appreciation for the additional internal considerations and complexities clients face.
