Laura is our Pro Bono Manager and leads the firm’s international pro bono practice spanning over 20 offices within Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Laura works with the firm’s International Pro Bono Committee to set our global pro bono strategy. She scopes and delivers high-impact pro bono projects delivering quality legal assistance to charitable and not-for-profit entities worldwide.
Prior to joining Simmons & Simmons Laura was the Pro Bono Manager and Supervising Solicitor at the Pro Bono Centre for BPP University. Here she coordinated a number of the Pro Bono Centre’s key projects such as the Employment Law Telephone Advice Line, Legal Shadowing and Welfare Benefits Advice Clinic. Prior to joining BPP Laura worked as an employment lawyer in private practice.
Externally, Laura is a member of the European Pro Bono Initiative, UK Collaborative Plan Statistics Committee and the Attorney General’s Pro Bono Committee. She also chairs the Bristol Pro Bono Group, where she works with other regional groups to promote engagements in pro bono across the UK.
Laura holds her Civil Higher Rights of Audience qualification.
