A member of the Paris and New York bars, Karim is an associate specialising in international arbitration. His practice focuses on international commercial arbitration, investment treaty arbitration and public international law. He represents and advises companies, states and state-owned entities in English, French and Arabic.

Karim has experience in arbitrations conducted under the rules of major arbitration centers (ICC, ICSID, LCIA, SIAC, the Lebanese Arbitration Centre of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry & Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon) and in a variety of industries, particularly, the oil & gas, energy, banking and automotive sectors. He also acts as arbitral secretary in international commercial arbitrations, and is a lecturer in International Trade Law at Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris).

Karim holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M) from Harvard Law School (USA). He graduated valedictorian from both the Master of Laws degree in international business law (Master 2, droit des affaires internationales) from Université Panthéon-Assas (France), and the Bachelor of Laws from Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth (Lebanon).

Karim currently sits as co-chair of the Paris Very Young Arbitration Practitioners (PVYAP) and was Vice-President of the Harvard International Arbitration Law Students Association (HIALSA). Before joining Simmons & Simmons, he was an associate at a leading international law firm and a lecturer in civil law at Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris) and Sorbonne-Assas International Law School (Dubaï).
