Alkan Dogan is the European Lead for Legal Engineering at Simmons Wavelength. Based in Frankfurt, he is spearheading the firm’s legal engineering activities and projects across Europe. Alkan specializes in initiating and creating tech-driven solutions for our clients to ensure a streamlined delivery of legal services. This includes the utilization of technology, data analytics, design thinking and process optimization techniques to increase user-friendliness and efficiency of client processes.
Previous to his current role, Alkan has been managing all innovation activities and projects initiated in our German offices – thereby cementing a culture of innovation and shaping the firm’s understanding of client-focused solutions. Additionally, he represented the firm as a management board member of the Legal Tech Association in Germany.
Alkan studied business, education and management at the University of Mannheim (B.Sc.) and the Leeds University Business School (M.Sc.). In addition to his position as European Lead for Legal Engineering, Alkan is currently engaged in pursuing a doctorate degree (Dr. rer. pol.) at the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. His field of study focuses on the impact of behavioural biases on effective innovation management and measures to mitigate these effects as an organization.
