Steffen is a supervising associate in the firm’s real estate department in Frankfurt working on a wide range of real estate law issues. He provides advice in connection with real estate investment transactions, development and asset management acting for clients such as institutional funds and investors as well as project developers. He also has a focus on renewable energy advising clients in particular in regulatory matters. Steffen is also part of the Energy, Renewables and Infrastructure (ENRI) team of Simmons & Simmons in Germany.
Steffen studied law at the University of Mannheim with a focus on corporate and commercial law while taking additional courses in business administration. He holds an LL.B. of the University of Mannheim and completed his legal clerkship at the higher regional court of Heidelberg, including a period in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Before joining Simmons & Simmons in February 2021, Steffen gained his first practical experience in the field of corporate and real estate law during his legal clerkship at national and international law firms.
