Harry specialises in the defence of professional negligence claims and also advises on professional regulation and discipline under the rules of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
Harry is a Supervising Associate in the firm’s Insurance & Construction team in London, within the international dispute resolution practice. He has acted across a range of international disputes and regularly advises insurers and their insureds in the defence of professional negligence claims, particularly claims against solicitors, as well as claims against Directors & Officers (D&O).
His experience of advising on professional negligence claims against solicitors has provided a natural path into advising clients, both law firms and those working in-house, on issues of professional regulation and discipline. This includes providing advice and guidance on potential breaches of the SRA rules and the intricacies of reporting to the SRA. Harry regularly conducts training sessions on the SRA’s rules and regulations, both within the firm and for clients.
Harry also has experience in advising insurers on the nuances of policy interpretation and the strategic considerations pertinent to complex and high-value coverage disputes. This includes acting for one of the defendant insurers during the FCA's Test Case on Business Interruption insurance following the outbreak of COVID-19, a matter which went before the Supreme Court.
Since joining the firm as a trainee in 2018, Harry has undertaken three secondments. During his training contract, Harry spent 6-month in the legal team at Monzo. Following his qualification in March 2020, Harry has undertaken two full-time secondments to the claims teams of London Market insurers, each of which lasted for a year and with the most recent concluding in January 2025. These experiences have provided Harry with a broad industry perspective and helped him to develop a practical understanding of insurer clients’ needs.
Harry is also a member of the firm’s International Insurance Group and is responsible for co-ordinating the quarterly group meetings.
