William has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate finance work. He acts for a variety of debt providers including banks, debt funds and other lenders, and also for borrowers. William advises on many types of financing, including property investment and development facilities, single asset and portfolio deals, bilateral and syndicated loans and senior and mezzanine facilities. He also specialises in the negotiation of intercreditor agreements.
In addition, William advises on real estate debt restructurings and enforcement action including the appointment of administrators and Law of Property Act receivers. More generally, he advises lenders on exiting distressed positions and in this context has acted on debt trading transactions and debt-for-equity swaps.
William also has an extensive private banking practice, advising some of the most prominent banks in the market.
