Gideon is a senior London based Corporate partner and co-head of the firm's international private equity practice.

He advises on a wide range of Corporate matters, with a particular focus on M&A, joint ventures, consortium arrangements and auctions - on a domestic and cross-border basis. He has led many of the firm's most high profile instructions. A regular speaker at client events, Gideon also speaks at seminars and external events such as the European SuperReturn Conference and the BVCA Summit.

Gideon has significant experience in a number of sectors, including financial services, asset management, infrastructure and real estate.

He advises a number of the world’s leading private equity, infrastructure, sovereign wealth and pension funds, as well as financial institutions, on complex high value transactions (including multiple transactions in the £1bn to £15bn range). Examples include advising a global financial institution, Brookfield, APG, BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, NBIM, Oak HC/FCT and AnaCap on significant mandates. Gideon is recognised in legal directories as “responsive and knowledgeable...handles complex technical issues with an effective, commercial approach”, “exceptional at providing clarity to complex legal issues. His team was shortlisted at the British Legal Awards for its work advising APG (one of Europe’s largest pension fund managers) on a £1.4bn joint venture. Previously, his team advising Catterton, was named as cross border team of the year at the New York M&A Advisory Awards and his team acting for AnaCap was previously nominated for M&A team of the year by Legal Business.
