The UK’s regulation of Buy-Now, Pay-Later: A discussion with the FCA

On 19 May 2025, HM Treasury published its response to a six-week consultation on the proposed regulation of BNPL. The Government has now set out next steps and expects BNPL products to enter regulation by the middle of 2026, subject to new rules developed by the FCA.

As BNPL comes into regulation, we have invited representatives from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to provide a unique perspective on the new regime. Please join us in a discussion on the new regime and its impact on BNPL firms and related businesses.
