UCITS conversion to PRIIPs KIDs - What's the latest?
Join our webinar as we discuss the latest state of play for the UCITS conversion to PRIIPs KIDs, following the Commission’s letter to the ESAs.
In December 2020, the European Commission wrote to the Chairs of ESMA, the EBA and EIOPA (the ESAs) giving them six weeks to agree among themselves draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) on the presentation of cost and performance scenarios in the PRIIPs Key Information Document (the PRIIPs KID).
Time’s ticking - the ESAs only had until Friday (29 January) to agree a set of agreed draft RTS, something they weren’t able to do in July 2020.
If they fail to do so again, the Commission has warned them, it will take "all necessary steps" – essentially, 'if you can't reach an agreement, then we'll do it for you'.
