International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised Paperchase Accountancy – the leading firm providing financial management to the hospitality sector – on its minority growth investment from BGF
Under the deal, the growth capital committed by BGF will provide Paperchase with the funding to pursue global expansion opportunities, whilst allowing further investment in the use of technology and data insights to support businesses.
Founded over 30 years ago, Paperchase has established itself as the leading accountant for high-profile hospitality brands, including restaurants, bars and pubs. It has a global team of over 1,200 professionals and supports more than 3,000 locations across Europe, America, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
BGF is one of the largest and most experienced growth capital investors in the UK and Ireland. To date it has invested over £4bn in more than 600 companies since its founding in 2011. The firm specialises in supporting ambitious businesses as a non-controlling, minority equity partner.
Simmons advised Paperchase and its shareholders on the significant new investment, with a team led by private equity partner Tim Hewens.
