International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised Eurofiber, a leading provider of digital infrastructure across Europe, on the sale of Berlin-based Eurofiber Netz to MIH Management.
Eurofiber Netz, founded in 2021, aims to develop a high-performance fibre-optic network in Berlin as a partner in the city’s Gigabit Strategy.
This transaction marks a pivotal moment in the German fibre market, as MIH strengthens its posi-tion by acquiring a high-performance fibre-to-the-home network with over 150,000 homes passed in the Berlin metropolitan area.
The sale enables Eurofiber Netz GmbH to enter a new chapter, shifting from network build-out to commercialisation, marketing, and further economic development.
Simmons & Simmons acted as Eurofiber’s lead legal advisor, delivering comprehensive support across all aspects of the transaction.
The cross-border, multidisciplinary Simmons & Simmons team was led by Dr H.-Peter Leube, Partner (Frankfurt), with support from colleagues in Amsterdam and Dusseldorf spanning tax, corporate, restructuring, employment and dispute resolution.
