The firm advised Honeywell on non-US aspects of the deal for Global Access Solutions. The target business comprises both hardware and software security solutions to enhance Honeywell Building Technologies’ business model of leading with high-value products that are critical for buildings. The acquisition will reinforce Honeywell’s strategic alignment to the compelling trend of automation, underpinned by robust digitalisation capabilities and solutions.
The Simmons team was led by corporate partner Raghav Ghai, with a multi-office and multi-specialist team supporting, including competition and regulatory partner Alejandro Guerrero.
Completion of the transaction is conditional and subject to anti-trust and other regulatory clearances.
The transaction follows Simmons’ advice to Honeywell on its successfully completed acquisition of Compressor Controls Corporation for $670m earlier this year, also led by corporate partner Raghav Ghai and competition partner Satyen Dhana.
