Global law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised Patrizia on the acquisition of Quarry Wood Industrial Estate, a freehold multi-let industrial estate comprising circa 42,000 sq m of lettable space across 27 units let to 18 tenants. Occupiers include local, regional and national businesses in manufacturing, distribution and e-commerce.
The 6 hectare site is located in Aylesford, a strategic commercial centre in North Kent between Junctions 4 and 5 of the M20, providing excellent transport links to the M25, Central London, the Channel Tunnel and Kent’s ports, and offers exciting asset management potential.
The Simmons team was led by Real Estate partner Deian Rhys, supported by Matthew Tinsley, Alice Bell, Ellie White, Pooja Chopra and Alexandra Moast (Real Estate), Mark Watterson (Tax), Jonathan Newman (Employment) and Tom Harris (Projects).
Commenting on the transaction, Deian said: “We are delighted to have represented Patrizia in securing the first acquisition within Patrizia´s new UK industrial mandate. The deal is a timely reminder of the resilience of the industrial sector, and credit to the Patrizia team for their work in bringing the acquisition to completion during lockdown.”
