International law firm Simmons & Simmons has appointed Amer Siddiqui as Global Head of the Financial Institutions (FI) Sector.
Amer is a highly experienced Partner in the firm's Structured Finance and Derivatives Group in London and a member of its asset-backed finance and securitisation team. He brings to the role a strong track record of leading complex, high-value, cross-border transactions for major financial institutions, working with large multidisciplinary teams across sectors and geographies.
Amer has achieved multiple accolades over his career and is a strategic and trusted adviser to some of the largest institutions in the world. He is also passionate about embedding AI and legal technology into the firm's work to enhance delivery and client experience.

Amer takes on the role of Global Head of the FI Sector from Charlotte Stalin, who will take the role of Head of Client Transformation. In this role, Charlotte will lead transformational change for the firm's key clients, focusing on deepening senior client relationships across multiple sectors and supporting client strategy initiatives.
