(Reminder) COVID-19 alert: Belgian working from home reporting
Employers must file online reports monthly.
On 24 March 2021, the Belgian concertation committee announced that employers must register once per month the total amount of employees working within the company and the total number of employees exercising a function which cannot be executed from home.
The social inspectorates will use these data as a reference point when checking compliance with teleworking. Anyone who is teleworking but is still present in the company will have to be able to justify his or her presence.
Concretely, this concerns that the following data must be registered:
- The number of persons working at the company.
- The number of persons working at the company with a non-teleworking function.
Please note that the number of employees working from home on the first working day of May 2021 (ie 3 May) should be declared here no later than Thursday 6 May 2021.
Not complying with the mandatory monthly registration increases the risk of a social inspection within the company.
