Melody Yang, our funds and corporate partner from Beijing office, was interviewed by Allocate to China Initiative (ATC) on the new regulations on QFII/RQFII introduced by the People’s Bank of China and the State Administration of Foreign Exchange in May 2020.
The interview covered topics including limitation of the previous QFII/RQFII regime, reforms brought by the new regulations and a comparison between the new QFII/RQFII regime and other cross-border access programmes. Melody also shared her views on the upcoming change of the QFII/RQFII regulations proposed by the China Securities Regulatory Commission and other recent regulatory development in the asset management sector in China.
