ESG Global Solutions - Asset Management

The past years have been an eventful period for ESG regulation in the European Union and beyond. The aim of the various regulations is to foster the integration of ESG factors into the investment and advisory processes and to increase transparency in relation to ESG and to avoid “greenwashing” and “greenbleaching”.

The EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) and the Taxonomy Regulation (TR) are the cornerstones of the European ESG disclosure framework. However several jurisdictions have recently implemented additional rules for ESG disclosures. Furthermore, jurisdictions outside the EU have adopted regulation comparable to the SFDR and the TR.

In order to help market participants effectively navigate the local ESG regulation applicable to asset managers, we have developed a brand new ESG Global Solutions module dedicated to Asset Management. An online subscription service, the tracker has been designed as an internal compliance tool for subscribers who need to know the local requirements, effective dates and current developments related to the ESG regulation and market standards.

This new ESG Global Solutions module is available in two versions. The basic version is free for EFAMA members and provides an overview where local regulation beyond the SFDR and the TR exists. The advanced version, available upon subscription, analyses those local regulations and offers subscribers an easy-to-use and comprehensive guide.

The tracker currently covers 16 key funds jurisdictions in the EU as well as UK, Asia and Middle East and additional jurisdictions will be added soon.
