Maddie Culhane is an associate in the Derivatives and Trading team, based in London. Maddie acts for the buy-side of the market, including hedge funds, institutional asset managers, sovereign wealth funds, and pension funds, providing legal advice on trading documentation and related regulatory obligations.
Maddie's experience includes:
- Reviewing and negotiating a comprehensive range of derivatives and trading documentation, including prime brokerage, repo, clearing, custody, and variation and initial margin documentation.
- Managing fund launch documentation for various international fund structures, including projects involving Irish, Luxembourg, and Cayman Islands funds.
- Leading a number of repapering projects, including one in-house for a large sovereign wealth fund.
- Supporting large-scale projects that involve the complete suite of initial margin documentation for various hedge funds.
- Advising clients on their regulatory obligations, including under EU and UK EMIR.
Maddie completed her training contract at Simmons & Simmons before qualifying into the Derivatives and Trading team.
