Joseph is an associate in the Financial Services - Hedge Funds group in London. He advises asset managers with a key focus on the establishment, structuring, restructuring and maintenance of hedge funds, hybrid funds and managed accounts.
Joseph acts for industry leading managers across a range of asset classes in relation to the launch and structuring of their hedge funds, and advises on regulatory matters including AIFMD, SFDR, MiFID II and local marketing requirements. He has acted on several high profile co-investment platform launches, advised on the set up of managed accounts and the negotiation of side letters, investment advisory agreements and fund distribution arrangements. In addition, Joseph has acted for start-up firms on the launch of their hedge fund business.
Prior to joining Simmons & Simmons Joseph was legal counsel for a global asset manager.
