Urmee is a supervising associate in the Derivatives & Trading team based in London and acts for the buy-side of the market including hedge funds, institutional asset managers and sovereign wealth funds. Urmee advises firms on the terms of their trading documentation and related regulatory obligations.

This includes:

  • reviewing and negotiating the full spectrum of derivatives and trading documentation (including prime brokerage, repo, clearing, custody, variation margin and initial margin documentation);

  • managing the fund launch documentation for various Irish, Luxembourg, and Cayman Islands fund structures, including the recent launch of a UK non-UCITS retail scheme on behalf of one of the UK’s largest asset managers;

  • leading on a number of repapering projects;

  • writing negotiation guides and close-out summaries covering key trading documentation; and

  • advising clients in relation to their regulatory obligations and associated industry initiatives (such as ISDA protocols).

Urmee has previously worked in-house at a hedge fund manager. Urmee is involved in the firm’s Access to Justice programme which provides legal assistance to challenge disability benefit appeals as a response to legal aid cuts in areas of social welfare law.
