Enea is a Supervising Associate in the Structured Finance & Derivatives group in London. His practice focuses mainly on structured finance and securitisation transactions, including warehouse financing, asset-backed lending, loan on loan financing and RMBS transactions, often with a cross-border element. Enea’s expertise covers also securitisation swaps with regard to both performing and non-performing portfolios.
Enea has extensive experience in synthetic securitisations of a number of asset classes (including SME Loans, Large Corporate Loans and underlying derivatives exposures) as well transactions involving the use of guarantees and has acted on many projects involving the various guarantee schemes rolled out in the wake of Covid-19. During his career Enea has also worked on some of the largest portfolio disposals and securitisations of non-performing loans in Italy, including transactions involving the use of the Italian GACS scheme guarantee.
During his time at Simmons & Simmons, Enea has completed a secondment in the structured finance legal department of a leading financial institution in London advising on cross-border securitisation transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Enea worked at other international law firms in London, Milan and Rome. Enea is admitted to practice law in Italy as avvocato and in England and Wales as solicitor.
