Carlos is a Supervising Associate in the Corporate and Commercial department of our Madrid office.
Carlos provides advice in significant corporate M&A transactions and corporate governance matters. In particular, he advises in share and asset deals, incorporation of joint ventures, corporate restructuring and private equity transactions. In addition, he provides support in advising on merger control and foreign investment authorization processes in Spain.
He completed a bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Valladolid (UVA) (Spain), including one year of Erasmus scholarship at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) (Brussels), and a Dual Bilingual Master’s Degree in Legal Practice and Business Law at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) (Spain).
Prior to joining Simmons & Simmons, Carlos worked as an M&A lawyer at a leading Spanish law firm and completed a secondment as in-house lawyer for an international private equity fund.
He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
His working languages are Spanish and English. He also speaks French.
