Carlos is a Supervising Associate in the Corporate M&A team of Simmons & Simmons' Madrid office, where he provides advice on significant cross-border M&A transactions and corporate governance matters. In particular, he advises Private Equity firms, Sovereign Wealth Funds and corporations on share and asset deals, the establishment of joint ventures and corporate restructurings.
Carlos has completed a secondment at the Simmons & Simmons Dubai office, where he has provided support in M&A deals in the Middle East.
Carlos currently holds the position of vice-secretary of the board of two Spanish joint venture companies with cross-border ownership.
Prior to joining Simmons & Simmons, he worked in a top-tier Spanish law firm, and completed a secondment as an in-house lawyer at an international Private Equity fund, working closely with investment teams on cross-border deals.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Valladolid (UVA) (Spain), during which he spent a year at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) (Brussels). He also completed a Dual Bilingual Master's Degree in Legal Practice and Business Law (LLM) at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) (Spain).
He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
His working languages are Spanish and English. He also speaks French.
