On 4 June 2021 the EU Commission published the new form of standard contractual clauses which are to be used to provide adequate protection for transfers of personal data from the EU to countries outside the European Economic Area (third countries). The new SCCs present a number of interesting and challenging features, a summary of which can be found here.
