Supporting EFG on sale of UK wealth management business

Simmons & Simmons has advised EFG International on the sale of its UK wealth management business EFG Harris Allday to major wealth manager Canaccord Wealth.

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised EFG International on the sale of the front-office teams and client assets of EFG Harris Allday to wealth manager Canaccord Wealth.

EFG Harris Allday, part of EFG Private Bank Ltd, is a UK-based wealth management business focused on affluent clients in the Midlands region, operating from Birmingham with additional locations in the UK. The business manages approximately £3.1bn of client assets and generated annual revenue of £20.3m in 2025. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026.

EFG International is a global private banking and asset management group headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. EFG’s core wealth management and private banking business in the UK serves UK-based and international high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and has over £20bn of assets under management.

The Simmons & Simmons team was led by corporate Partner Steph Featherstone (London), with support from Partner David Hicks (London) and supervising associate Jamie McMurray (London).
