Global law firm Simmons & Simmons has been named by The Times as a Top 50 Employer for Gender Equality for 2026, recognising the firm’s continued progress in advancing gender equality across the business.
Women made up 56% of partners promoted this year, meaning the firm has already met its 2026 target for women to represent 50% of partner promotions. It also remains on track to meet its 2029 targets.
Alongside other organisations on the list, Simmons & Simmons was assessed on a range of policies and cultural initiatives, including recruitment, career progression, action to address pay disparities, flexible and family-friendly working, and measures to prevent harassment and discrimination.
Managing Partner Emily Monastiriotis commented:
“While we have met our 2026 targets, gender equality remains a strategic priority for the firm. This recognition reflects the progress we are making to create a more inclusive workplace and the continued commitment of our people to embedding gender equality at every level of the business.
As one of our core diversity priorities, we are focused on improving representation, widening access to opportunities, and fostering a culture where all colleagues can thrive. We are committed to building on this progress over the long term.”
The Times Top 50 is one of the UK’s best-established and most high-profile rankings of employers taking meaningful action to advance gender equality in the workplace.
