Simmons & Simmons has today announced that Eric Blomme will join as a partner in the firm's Brussels office on 24 May 2022. Eric will head the Banking & Finance team in Brussels, and broaden and develop the existing practice.
Eric joins Simmons from Baker McKenzie. His practice focuses on acquisition and leveraged finance, syndicated lending, export finance / ECA-backed lending, trade and commodity finance and real estate finance. He is also an experienced adviser on restructurings and insolvencies. He is ranked as a leading lawyer in all major legal directories.
Eric will work closely with managing associate Martin Carlier in Brussels, as well as the firm’s international financial markets network, including Penny Miller, John Sayers, James Taylor and Jen Yee Chan, in London, Céline Larmet and Colin Millar in Paris, Ivo Van Dijk in Amsterdam and Louis-Mäel Cogis in Luxembourg.
