International law firm Simmons & Simmons announced that Jeffrey Friedenberg has joined the firm as its Head of Private Funds.

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced that Jeffrey Friedenberg has joined the firm as its Head of Private Funds.

Jeffrey's appointment further strengthens Simmons' Funds Team and marks an important step in the firm's practice in the Asia Pacific and Greater China region.

Jeffrey will be based in the firm's Hong Kong office and will work closely across the region with Eva Chan and Ivy Yam, Partners in its Asset Management and Investment Funds practice.

He joins from a global investment management firm where he was a Partner and Managing Director and Head of Legal & Compliance for Europe and Asia.

Jeffrey brings more than 20 years of experience in the asset management and investments funds sector, with a particular focus on advising international and regional asset managers, financial institutions, investment advisers, family offices, and institutional investors. His practice includes representing private fund managers in fund formation, capital raising, portfolio investments, fund regulatory and compliance, and fund operational issues.
