Simmons & Simmons boosts Luxembourg funds practice with partner hire

Appointment deepens the firm’s capability across UCITS and alternative investment.

International law firm Simmons & Simmons has appointed Emmanuel-Frédéric Henrion as a partner in its investment funds practice in Luxembourg, with effect from January 2026.

A deeply experienced lawyer, Emmanuel-Frédéric joins the firm from Clifford Chance, and brings a strong reputation as one of the leading technical investment funds partners in the country.

Having practised investment funds law in Luxembourg since 2000, he is a well-established figure in the public and private funds arena, is a regular advisor to multiple key players in the sector.

Emmanuel-Frédéric’s hire will boost Simmons & Simmons’ domestic and international asset management and investment funds (AMIF) sector offering, in particular, strengthening the firm’s ability to support clients across retail and alternative fund structures at a time of continued market expansion and regulatory change in Luxembourg and the EU.
