International law firm Simmons & Simmons has today been named by The Times as a Top 50 Employer for Gender Equality for 2025.

The Times Top 50 rankings are the UK’s most well-established and highly profiled list of employers who are committed to taking action to ensure gender equality in the workplace.

Simmons was recognised for demonstrating its commitment to embedding gender equality across all levels of the firm.

Companies recognised in the list include those demonstrating a strong record on policies and cultural interventions in the workplace to achieve gender equality – including those addressing pay disparities, ensuring progression, offering flexible working and family-friendly policies and tackling sexual harassment.

Women make up 32% of Simmons’ international partnership – a figure that has more than doubled in the last 10 years. The firm has also set new targets for female partner promotions – increasing the target to 50% by 2026.

Managing Partner Emily Monastiriotis commented: "It’s fantastic to see our recent efforts to support women in the workplace recognised through our inclusion as a Top 50 Employer for Gender Equality. The collective effort made across the firm to drive change in both policies and culture has been outstanding, and I thank everyone who has played their part.

“There is, however, much more we can do to address workplace disparities. Striving for gender equality remains a top business priority, and we will continue to set ambitious targets, seek improvements and hold ourselves to account in our efforts to support women across the firm.”
