International law firm Simmons & Simmons has this week celebrated 30 years of providing legal services in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Since establishing its operations three decades ago, the firm has built an authoritative presence in the UAE and wider Middle East region. Simmons UAE has represented leading international and regional clients across all industries, commanding an advanced knowledge of local laws, regulations and market practice.

The firm's UAE footprint continues to evolve - with Simmons recently expanding its Dubai office space, while actively growing its teams across all practice areas - ensuring that it continues to offer unparalleled expertise and support to its clients.

Earlier this year, Simmons was awarded Middle East Law Firm of the Year for the UAE at the Middle East Legal Awards 2024 and Financial Services Regulatory Team of the Year 2024 at the IFLR Awards.

To mark its 30-year anniversary, the Simmons UAE team celebrated with an evening reception with clients and colleagues at the British Embassy in Dubai.

Commenting on the UAE milestone, Muneer Khan, Middle East Regional Head, said:I’m immensely proud of what the firm and its people have achieved in the UAE over the last three decades, and our wide contribution to the legal landscape. Integral to our success has been our sector focus, guiding our strategic decisions and ensuring we remain at the forefront of our chosen industries".

"We have not only shown a remarkable ability to adapt to change, but also shape it - today leading the way in the integration and advancement of AI within the legal domain. While this anniversary is about reflecting on our accomplishments and progress to date, we are also incredibly excited about the future to come not just in the UAE but in the wider region as we look to open our first office in Saudi Arabia".
