International law firm Simmons & Simmons has advised a renowned European family office on the sale of eleven wind farms in France, with a combined capacity of 127MW, to a consortium comprising TTR Energy and Amundi Energy Transition.
The deal is latest of several cross-border transactions that the Simmons & Simmons ENRI team has advised on in the renewable energy sector over the last year, including Mainstream Renewable Power, NextEnergy Capital, Avedon, Enerparc, Prime Capital and Berenberg.
The firm’s team was led by Dr. Stephan Ulrich, Partner Corporate Germany, who was supported by team members in both countries: corporate partner Arnaud Félix and competition partner Ombline Ancelin, managing associate Florent Barbu and associate Domitille Cabaud from Simmons’s Paris office, and associates Alexander Breidenstein and Luisa Kanders from Simmons’s Düsseldorf office.
Dr. Stephan Ulrich commented on the deal, saying: "This transaction not only underscores the strength and depth of our cross-border capabilities but also highlights the importance of teamwork in navigating the complexities of the renewable energy market. By leveraging our international expertise and collaborative approach, we have facilitated a deal that is set to have a significant impact on the renewable energy landscape in France."
Arnaud Félix said: "This transaction, marking one of the year's most significant in the French wind sector, highlights Simmons & Simmons's strong expertise and cross-border capabilities in the energy sector, particularly in renewables."
