International law firm Simmons & Simmons has successfully advised ING Bank, a branch of ING-DiBa AG, Standard Chartered Bank, and BNP Paribas on a EUR 300 million syndicated financing for Türkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası A.Ş.
The financing is partially guaranteed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), a member of the World Bank Group, and counter-guaranteed by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of Türkiye. The financing aims to support climate adaptation and resilience investments in Türkiye.
An experienced, cross-border Simmons team led by Sergei Kabanov (Partner, Frankfurt), assisted by a team including Louise Mackenzie (Managing Associate, London),Tim Bitterlich (Supervising Associate, Frankfurt) and Amber Jones (Trainee, London) from the firm’s Energy, Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Construction (ENRIC) practice.
CRR regulation support was provided by John Sayers (Partner, London), Eric Blomme (Partner, Brussels), and Jeremy Arscott (Consultant, London) from Simmons’ Banking team.
