Jonathan Hammond, partner and Asia Regional Head, has been named the winner of the Grand Prix award ‘International Law Firm Leader of the Year’ at the Law.com Asia Legal Awards 2025.
Held in Singapore on 10 September, the awards recognise the region’s most outstanding legal achievements and honour the transactions, cases and legal work that have shaped the industry across Asia.
The Grand Prix categories are highly exclusive, with winners selected solely by Law.com International’s independent editorial judges. Jonathan’s win reflects his strong leadership, and his influence and impact on the market over the past 18 months.
A contributing factor behind the win is the firm’s stability in the region under Jonathan’s leadership, with judges noting Simmons’ impressive ability to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the Asian market for law firms over the past 18 months.
The judges also noted the Simmons' growth in the Middle East and its connectivity to Asia, and the firm’s intentions to leverage this.
