Simmons & Simmons is pleased to announce that former senior partner Colin Passmore has been recognised at the British Legal Awards 2021.
Colin was awarded The City of London Law Society Lifetime Achievement Award for his decade of work as Simmons’ senior partner, where he was lauded for growing the firm whilst maintaining its culture of collaboration and diversity. Colin was also recognised for his more recent work on the City of London Law Society’s Social Mobility Steering Group, as well as for his contribution to the law, through the four editions of his book, Privilege.
Commenting on this recognition, Colin said: “It is an honour to receive this award from the City of London Law Society, for whom I have a great deal of respect for their work in the service of law in the City. Throughout my own career, I have seen tremendous change for the better, with an improving focus on diversity, inclusion and wellbeing across the legal sector. Being recognised in a field of peers for my contribution to this change is a real moment of pride for me.”.
