International law firm Simmons & Simmons is pleased to announce that it has won two awards for its subscription-based legal products at this year’s Legal Innovation Awards.
The annual awards, which recognise “excellence in innovation” across the legal market, were held for the ninth time in London on 26 May.
Simmons came out on top in the International Law Firm Innovation category, with the award going to the firm for Rocketeer – an AI-driven tool that employs big data to predict the outcomes of trade mark conflicts.
The first honour was shortly followed by Simmons winning the Future of Legal Services Innovation (Large Private Practice) award, which was presented to the firm for its CtrlTransfer product – a digital product that can undertake a rapid risk assessment of cross-border data transfers in over 50 jurisdictions.
Commenting on the award for Rocketeer, intellectual property partner Darren Meale said: “It’s a fantastic achievement to have secured this award. With its cutting-edge AI technology, Rocketeer has been a trailblazer product in the intellectual property market.
“We have continued to innovate and evolve the product to suit clients’ needs, and we’re delighted that its success has been recognised with this honour – the third award Rocketeer has now received.”
Responding to the award for Ctrl Transfer, partner Lawrence Brown said: “Ctrl Transfer is one of Simmons’ leading subscription-based products, and we’re thrilled to have been recognised with this award.
“With regulatory requirements related to international flows of data becoming increasingly complex and carrying more enforcement risk, we’re pleased that a growing number of businesses are turning to us for this comprehensive, cost-effective and time-saving tool.”
