Borja is an Associate in the Employment Law group at the Madrid office of Simmons & Simmons. He joined the firm in 2025, after completing his education in Business Administration and Law and obtaining an LLM in business legal Practice at the University of Navarra, obtaining professional experience since 2020 both in a Magic Circle firm and in the employment department of a well-known professional services firm.
With extensive experience in all areas of employment law, he has experience in providing ongoing advice on employment matters to both domestic and international clients in various sectors, such as the pharmaceutical, banking, insurance and reinsurance. Borja, member of the Madrid Bar Association since 2021, has also acted in numerous legal proceedings before the Spanish courts, representing clients in various dismissal proceedings, substantial changes in working conditions and/or claims for payment.
In addition to the above, Borja has extensive experience in conducting employment due diligence, drafting and reviewing executive contracts, and analysing the nature of labour-commercial relationships.
His practical and well-founded approach to legal employment advice, in addition to his fluent English and Spanish, positions him as a valuable member of the Simmons & Simmons team.
