International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced the hiring of Isabelle Vincent and Arnaud Roiron as partners to lead its Restructuring practice in Paris.

Both bringing three decades of experience, the two leading partners join Simmons from a leading French law firm, representing an expansion of Simmons' domestic and international restructuring capabilities. Together, they offer a broad spectrum of practical and commercial support for companies experiencing financial distress.

Isabelle Vincent has worked with banks and institutional creditors for over 30 years. She has developed leading expertise in the restructuring of complex debt situations and in the financing and refinancing of companies undergoing turnaround or in difficulty in all sectors of activity, with particular expertise in real estate. She is involved in both dispute prevention and litigation.

Arnaud Roiron has assisted underperforming companies, as well as their managers, shareholders and investors, particularly funds, for over 30 years in implementing appropriate restructuring measures to promote their recovery. His approach, focused on anticipating and preventing difficulties, is based on a thorough understanding of the financial, corporate and human issues involved in these periods of transformation. He also assists potential buyers in distressed M&A transactions and works alongside administrators and judicial representatives in complex and cross-border proceedings.

The two new Paris partners are joined by three associates: Diana Lounana, Marielle Tyranowicz and Stéphanie Goinard. The partners' arrival brings the number of partners in Simmons' Paris office to 33.

The hires are also a significant boost to the firm's leading international Restructuring and Special Situations (RSS) practice, which offers integrated cross-border advice on multi-jurisdictional restructurings and insolvencies. The international practice comprises 25 partners, based in Brussels, Dubai, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Luxembourg, Madrid, Paris and Singapore.

Isabelle Vincent commented: "Joining Simmons represents a tremendous opportunity to practise my profession in an international, innovative environment focused on new technologies. The firm's expertise, presence in the market and global network enable me to offer my clients a consistent, tailor-made cross-border service."

Arnaud Roiron added:"The choice of Simmons was a natural one. I was attracted by the firm's cross-disciplinary expertise and its ability to mobilise cutting-edge skills in financing, litigation, corporate M&A, employment law and private equity. It is an international, collaborative and stimulating environment that fully meets the needs of the clients I work with on a daily basis."

Ben Jones, co-head of the firm's international Restructuring and Special Situations (RSS) group, said: "Isabelle and Arnaud are two highly specialised partners who will be integral to our leading international restructuring, insolvency and special situations practice. Their hires further strengthen the capabilities of our strong global network and its ability to offer seamless cross-border advice."

Jacques-Antoine Robert, Managing Partner of the Paris office, concludes: "We are very pleased to welcome Isabelle, Arnaud and their team. Their arrival significantly strengthens our offering in a strategic area and now enables us to support our clients on all issues related to corporate change. The complementary nature of their expertise, whether in relation to creditors or the companies themselves, will enable us to create strong synergies with our existing practices.
