Mark Dawkins

Mark is the managing partner of the firm.  He has held that position since March 2005 and in 2008 was re-elected for a further three year term expiring in April 2011.

Background

Mark joined Simmons & Simmons as an articled clerk in 1983, and qualified as a solicitor in the London litigation department in 1985. He was made a partner in 1990. He was appointed managing partner of the firm's litigation department in 1997, head of the financial markets department in 2000 and managing partner of the global firm in March 2005.

Although his current responsibilities do not permit him the time to be directly involved in client work, for many years Mark's principal area of practice has been financial services litigation and regulatory disputes.
