- Leading a team of lawyers advising on the restructuring of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link Project (capital value £5.3bn) on behalf of Railtrack PLC for which the team was presented the Legal Business Construction Team of the Year award in 1999
- Advising the Department of Enterprise in Ireland on framework guidelines for Irish rail public private partnerships (IR£3.4bn)
- Major construction arbitration on behalf of international clients
- Pathfinder PFI Project in the Netherlands advising on shadow toll road.
General experience
Richard specialises in projects law and contentious and non - contentious construction law in the UK and internationally.
He particularly focuses on the construction and engineering sectors.
In addition to being a member of the Society of Construction Law, Richard is also an accredited adjudicator at the Institution of Civil Engineers. He holds an MSc in construction law and arbitration from King's College, London.
He is one of the authors of "Architect's Legal Handbook" (7th edition - 2000) and has been a partner since 1997.
