New IP lawyers

Simmons & Simmons has strengthened its leading international IP group with the appointment of associate Ingve Björn Stjerna and part qualified Trade Mark Attorney Mark Bhandal. Additionally, the practice has promoted consultant Lewis Ho to partner and associate András Kupecz to managing associate.  Associate David Swain also joined the team on qualification in March.

Ingve Björn Stjerna specialises in intellectual property matters, with a particular focus on patent law in the fields of biotech, pharma, medical devices and electronics. He previously worked for Bird & Bird and Reimann Osterrieth Köhler Haft in the field of patent litigation. He is based in our Düsseldorf office.

Part qualified Trade Mark Attorney Mark Bhandal, joins our prestigious and leading “one stop shop” brands practice. Mark previously worked for HLBBshaw Ltd, and is based in our London office.

Lewis Ho specialises in patent and other IP litigation for technology-rich companies. He is based in our Shanghai office and is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

András Kupecz specialises in patent litigation and acts both as a lawyer and as a patent attorney for clients in the Dutch Courts and the European Patent Office. He is based in our Amsterdam office.

David Swain specialises in intellectual property and advises clients on a range of contentious and non-contentious IP issues. He is based in our London office.
