Website Accessibility

Our accessibility aim

Simmons & Simmons is redesigning its website to meet the internationally recognised standards of accessibility set by the World Wide Web Consortium. We believe this will not only improve the experience of internet users who face accessibility challenges, but it will also make using our website faster and easier for all our visitors.

We are rebuilding the sections of our site in stages, so that they will all conform to:

  • W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines priority 1, 2, and 3 guidelines
  • XHTML 1.0
  • CSS 2.0

User tip - text resizing

As part of our improved accessibility we have introduced support for resizable pages and fonts. As a user you can control the size of the text and the page to suit your needs though your browser software or by clicking on one of the letter As found above the top navigation bar, to the left of the search box on any page. Once changed your browser will continue to work on all similarly enabled websites.

If you would like to use your browser software to increase or decrease the text size follow the appropriate menu "path" for your browser:

  • Internet Explorer: View > Text size
  • Firefox: View > Text size
  • Netscape: Edit > Preferences > Appearance > Fonts
  • Opera: File > Preferences > Fonts > Minimum font size

Additionally scroll wheel mouse users may also find that if they hold down the control key while using the scroll wheel they will be able to adjust the text size.
