Lease advisory service

Our lawyers can advise on the grant of leases for all types of investment property, including retail complexes (West End, high street and out-of-town as well as shopping centres), offices and industrial and distribution facilities. We review lease provisions carefully to ensure that your asset is run effectively. We also have experience of assisting clients in relation to their leasing strategies, common parts management, service charges regimes and on all aspects of sustainability and “green leasing”.

Landlord and tenant concerns

Our experts are able to advise on all aspects of landlord and tenant law to ensure the effective running and management of your premises. Our service includes providing advice in relation to service charge recovery, alterations, dilapidations, consent to assign and underlet, authorised guarantee agreements and the preservation of covenant strength. We also provide advice on rent review and support in relation to third party submissions.


We are able to advise on all construction aspects relating to asset management transactions. Our lawyers provide guidance on collateral warranties, professional appointments, risk analysis and the more general aspects of development and construction projects, from inception through to a project’s completion.

Dispute resolution

Our dispute resolution team advises on matters relating to the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, public and private nuisance claims and has extensive experience of conducting arbitrations and litigation proceedings to establish the correct meaning of lease provisions from alterations and consents to assign to dilapidations and rent review.
