Raoul specialises in intellectual property law with a focus on patents and technology. He advises and litigates on behalf of clients in a variety of technical fields, ranging from life sciences and telecommunications to mechanical engineering.
Pertaining to Article 35b, first paragraph of the Dutch Regulations on the Legal Profession, Raoul Soullié has registered the following field(s) of law with the Dutch Bar Association: Intellectual Property Law, Civil Procedural Law. This registration obliges Raoul Soullié to obtain ten permanent education points in the registered field(s) of law each calendar year, in accordance with the rules of the Dutch Bar Association.

Raoul read law at the Leiden University and was admitted to the bar in 2006. After having worked as an attorney for a leading Dutch law firm, where his main focus was on patent litigation, Raoul was appointed as Staff Lawyer at the Intellectual Property Department of the District Court of The Hague in 2009. In that capacity he was involved in handling cases in both preliminary injunction proceeding and proceedings on the merits. Raoul’s work in the District Court covered the whole range of intellectual property law, again with a focus on patent law. He joined Simmons & Simmons LLP in September 2015.
