Simmons and Simmons appointed to WeWork’s legal panel

International law firm Simmons and Simmons has been selected by WeWork to become a member of the organisation’s newly formed legal panel, being one of only two firms that have been asked to support in every area of WeWork’s operations in the UK & Ireland, including Real Estate, Construction, Commercial, Employment, Compliance and Data Protection. The panel, which is made up of 11 other law firms to include, CMS, Hogan Lovells and DLA Piper among others, will be appointed for an initial two-year period.
Founded in 2010, WeWork is a global space, community and services company, providing innovative workplace solutions for member organisations. At present, WeWork has over 527,000 members worldwide and locations in 111 cities. Over the past nine years of operation, WeWork has experienced substantial growth and continues to seek further opportunities for expansion.
This legal panel review will be the first WeWork has undertaken. The legal partners that make up the panel will work closely with WeWork and its EMEA legal team during what is set to be a period of growth for the company.
