Disputes Aviator recognised by FT Innovative Lawyers
05 Oct 2018
Disputes Aviator, the online risk management tool developed by international law firm Simmons & Simmons, has been recognised as a stand out piece of technology by the FT Innovative Lawyers.
Launched in 2017, Disputes Aviator was designed by Simmons & Simmons' managing associates Elizabeth Williams and Stuart Doxford in collaboration with the firm’s Financial Institutions clients. The tool enables users to consider key circumstantial factors which may affect the enforceability of an English jurisdiction and governing clauses, in English court judgments post Brexit. The tool highlights the firm’s commitment to ensuring clients are prepared for the most complex challenges and will assist clients in both the lead up to Brexit and following in an efficient and cost-effective way.
Disputes Aviator fast tracks increasingly urgent Brexit contingency planning by helping to evaluate the impact of Brexit on their commercial relationships and the service provided.
Commenting on the award, Ben McGuire, innovation and business change director at Simmons & Simmons said: "We are very pleased that Elizabeth and all the team have been recognised for their work in developing Disputes Aviator. This recognition is richly deserved as they have developed a product which is built from the perspective of the client and combines technology and expert legal analysis to solve a complex client problem – always a winning combination. With several similarly robust products in development at any one time, we look forward to following up the success of Disputes Aviator with many more client-focused solutions."
This ranking follows a successful year for Disputes Aviator which was also awarded the Most Innovative Use of Technology at The Lawyer Awards 2018.
