Satyen Dhana joins the firm

Simmons & Simmons has today announced the appointment of Satyen Dhana, Competition partner, to join its EU, Competition and Regulatory practice in London.
Satyen joins from CMS where he was partner. Satyen’s arrival further strengthens Simmons & Simmons' competition law offering.

The Simmons & Simmons EU, Competition and Regulatory Group is a coordinated team working across all the major European jurisdictions advising on the full range of EU, Competition and Regulatory law and procedures. In particular, the firm advises on merger control in the context of acquisitions and joint ventures, investigations and complaints (including multi-jurisdictional cartels and restrictive agreements), abuse of dominance issues, competition compliance, State aid and on a broad range of regulatory issues.
Simmons & Simmons regularly represents its clients before EU and national competition authorities, regulators and other institutions and in EU and national courts and tribunals. The firm’s expertise includes private competition litigation for damages and injunctions before national courts.

The firm is further expanding its international antitrust and competition law practice, with new senior appointments in both Brussels and Frankfurt. Dr Jens Steger and Dr Robert Hardy join the law firm as counsel. Jens Steger will be responsible for advising in German and European antitrust law in Frankfurt. He previously worked for Arnold & Porter in Frankfurt. Robert Hardy comes from Skadden Arps and will be working in Brussels on antitrust and international competition law.
